Every day across the Quad Cities, people with disabilities are striving for independence, connection, and purpose. Empowering Abilities is here to make that possible.

For more than 55 years, we’ve been a community where individuals are valued, supported, and celebrated—where abilities are honored, and where every person has the chance to live, learn, work, and thrive.

Every year, Empowering Abilities provides direct support to more than 300 individuals with disabilities and their families through:

• Daily Discovery Program: Our community day services program designed to enhance skills, encourage socialization, and foster independence through structured activities and peer engagement.
• Employment Services: We offer individualized supported employment and pre-vocational training classes to help participants gain workplace skills, build confidence, and achieve meaningful employment in their communities.
• Enterprise Services: Including screen printing and embroidery training and production—offering job skill development and small business experience in a supported work environment.
• Endeavor Living Program: A community-supported living program for individuals who reside independently or with minimal support, offering personalized services that promote self-sufficiency and inclusion.
• Residential Services: Empowering Abilities provides a full continuum of residential care through three inclusive group homes and our 60-bed Residential Center. Our Residential Center offers skilled medical oversight, personal care, and 24/7 staffing for individuals with complex needs. Our group homes provide family-style settings that support residents in building independence.

Whether someone is working toward their first job, learning how to cook dinner independently, or participating in a community art class, Empowering Abilities is there—cheering them on and walking alongside them.
